How we use your personal data

We care about security and we therefore handle your personal data with respect and consideration. On this page we describe how we collect and use data on our website in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDRP).

Data we store

We store data that you provide when you fill out a form, for example when you register for a seminar, apply for a job with us or send in a complaint. We save the data as long as necessary for the intended purpose, for example to hold the seminar.

Legal basis for treatment of personal data

The basis for our treatment of your personal data is that the information may be necessary in order to enter into an agreement, a legitimate interest exists for processing the data or you have given your consent for us to use it.

You are not required to provide us with your personal data, but it may be necessary for us to access it in order to offer you, for example, a place at a seminar.

Who do we share the data with?

Your personal data is only handled by employees of SMC. We do not disclose your personal data to third parties unless legally obliged to do so. All personal data is handled securely and in accordance with the law.

Your rights

You have the right to be informed about how your personal data is being used. This means that you can request access to certain information on how it is processed. You also have the right to request rectification of inaccurate personal data, restriction of excessive use, erasure of data where there is no basis for its use, and the transfer of personal data from our system to another actor, so-called data portability.

Requests for any of the above-mentioned actions can be submitted to info@smc.global. You also have the right to contact the Swedish Data Protection Authority if you are dissatisfied with the treatment of your personal data. However, we of course hope that you will contact us first with any requests or questions regarding how we handle your personal data.

Data that is covered by Sweden’s bookkeeping and archiving laws will be treated as outlined in those laws.

Feel free to contact us

You have the right at any time to withdraw your consent for us to use your personal data. You can do this by contacting the data controller.

SMC is the data controller. If you would like to contact us you will find the details on our contact page. You can also reach us by email: info@smc.global. Our organisation registration number is 802002-3209. Our address is SMC – Faith in Development. Box 140 38, 167 14 Bromma, Sweden.

Google analytics
We use Google Analytics to collect web data on visits to and use of our website.

This is not personal data, it is just visitor statistics that cannot be linked to an individual person. Google analyses the data and provides SMC with the results. This lets us know how our website is being used so that we can make any necessary changes to the website.
