Called to transformation – a conversation on Ecumenical Diaconia.

SMC invite you to an interesting seminar during the Ecumenical Week in Stockholm. The event will be held at Filadelfiakyrkan in Stockholm, but you can also participate online.

Called to transformation. A conversation on Ecumenical Diaconia. Global and local.

How Churches and agencies can contribute to a common calling and how religious literacy is vital for finding organisational identity. The seminar is an integrated part of the celebration of the Stockholm meeting in 1925, the beginning of the ecumenical movement as we know it today. It is also one of the follow-up seminars on Ecumenical Diaconia suggested by Ecumenical Conversation at the WCC General Assembly in Karlsruhe and carried out by the ACT Alliance Community of Practice on Religion and Development.

It will be streamed and recorded so that parts of the conversation can be used in future ACT Alliance seminars and workshops.

Panelists

Dr. Kenneth Mtata, WCC; Mr. Rudelmar Bueno de Faria, ACT Alliance; students from the Ecumenical Summer School, EHS-Stockholm; and SMC Faith in Development senior Advisors Petter Jakobsson and Kristina Patring.
