Final Report for Communication programme and Humanitarian programme

SMC submitted four final reports, narrative and financial, in 2023: the final report for the entire Humanitarian programme, two final reports for the Internship programme and a final report regarding the Communication programme, including 2022 and the first three month in 2023.

The Communication programme was closed down due to political decisions. This abrupt cut in financing had a sudden and severe impact on important activities disseminating knowledge on development aid.

The work came to a sad end, but we haven’t given up! In dialogue with the member organisations that have been part of the Communication programme, we work towards broader funding for communication and advocacy work.

SMC had a final meeting with Sida about the final report. Sida has no further information about the future of Communication grants or if the strategy will be updated. Sida Partnership Forum, which is responsible for handling the programme’s efforts, will continue to organize courses and meeting places.
